The build-up to TNA’s biggest night of the year – Slammiversary – continues tonight on Impact Wrestling, with defending World Heavyweight Champion Eric Young still looking to come to terms with the dramatic heel turn of MVP.

TNA’s director of wrestling operations, who declared himself as the number one contender to Young’s World Title two weeks ago, is in a confident mood, having now revealed Kenny King and Bobby Lashley as his new stable-mates.

The trio attacked Young in relentless fashion on last week’s edition of Impact Wrestling, leading to a premature end in the unscheduled World Title match between Young and MVP, with the latter being disqualified.

Despite the defeat, MVP remains EY’s schedule opponent for Slammiversary, which takes place on 15th June. This week, company owner Dixie Carter will make her return to the ring to address MVP and the current situation. Impact Wrestling airs in America later today on Spike TV, and again in the UK on Challenge TV this coming Sunday.

But the World Champion will need more than Dixie Carter in his corner if he is to stand any chance of keeping hold of his World Title. It remains to be seen as to whether the likes of Bobby Roode (currently suspended by MVP), Austin Aries and Samoa Joe will return to help bring down MVP.

Meanwhile, former World Champion Magnus will continue his ongoing feud with Willow this week, when the pair do battle in a Falls Count Anywhere Match. It seems unlikely that Magnus’ newest associate Bram, who has been present during all of Magnus’ matches since Sacrifice – will be too far away from the action.

TNA sources have also confirmed that Angelina Love will be defending her Knockout’s Title this week, and that she will offer up an open challenge to any member of the TNA roster. Gail Kim, Madison Rayne and Brittany are all potential opponents, but Angelina, Velvet Sky and the Beautiful People are unlikely to give up their title without a fight.

Other potential fallout from the events of last week includes a potential on-going feud between James Storm and Mr. Anderson. Storm defeated Anderson last week after spitting a mouthful of beer into the face of his opponent.

TNA fans will also be eagerly awaiting the next appearance of the Menagerie. Last week, stable member Crazzy Steve was disqualified from his match with Kazarian for pulling down the pants of the referee. The group’s ring leader, Knux, will surely need to bring some order to the company if they are to continue in the right direction and challenge for titles.

Bully Ray will no doubt be keen to address the attack he suffered from Ethan Carter III, who came to the rescue of his aunt Dixie, as well as TNA Chief of Staff Rockstar Spud after the former two-time World Champion broke into the company owner’s home, decorating it with the addition of several new tables.

Sanada will be seeking a new challenge after successfully defending his X Division Title in a three-way match with Tigre Uno and DJ Zema Ion, and Samuel Shaw will be looking to escape from his incarceration in a mental institution following last week’s visit from potential new ally Gunner.
