The analysis system created in order to produce this list covers over 100 types of player actions, enabling a rating to be produced based on their responsibilities on the field. The Liverpool stoker enjoyed a magnificent season at Anfield, scoring 31 times in the Premier League on his way to an awards treble. Liverpool, of course, so agonisingly missed out on the title, but will return to the Champions League next term.
