We start at Wentworth where Thomas Bjorn equalled the course record to take an early lead at the BMW PGA Championship.

The Swede carded an opening day 62 to finish 10 under par and two clear of Shane Lowry.

Rory McIlroy had an uneven day with three bogeys, three birdies and two eagles but remains in contention at four under.

There are plenty of big names at Wentworth and one of them; Sergio Garcia has withdrawn.

The world number seven finished one over for the day but pulled out due to a knee injury.

To the Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial now where Dustin Johnson takes a one shot lead into the second round.

Johnson carded five birdies on a blemish-free round to leave him at five under and stroke clear of Harris English, Hunter Mahan, Robert Streb and Tim Wilkinson.

And finally we finish at the Airbus LPGA Classic where Charley Hull increased her growing reputation with an opening round 65 in Alabama.

The 18-year-old was faultless as she made seven birdies including this at 17 to finish seven under and a stroke off leader and fellow Brit Catriona Matthew.
