Any casual WWE fans would have heard 'Good Ol' Jim Ross announce a fighter as a 'Slobberknocker, and instantly be taken back

However Ross, is no longer within the WWE ranks, after having his contract terminated by the world's biggest wrestling company for a reason that was not his fault.

There had been rumours he could join the world's largest MMA brand. This week the rumours came true as he appeared on UFC Tonight hosted by Kenny Florian and Kenny Florian. They discussed the main event of UFC 173 between Renan Barao and TJ Dillashaw for the UFC Bantamweight Title. On the fight, Ross gave his thoughts. He said:

"Well Barao is 33-0 right? I like his chances. But Dillashaw has a shot at taking him down. He would be the first guy to do so. But I don't see it happening. I think Barao wins the fight. But if I was a big-time gambler like Dana White, I'd put some money on the upset.

"I don't think Dillashaw gets it done. I like Barao's game."

Further into the show, Ross was then asked who is favourite fighter was. He replied:

"If I am going to be honest, I gotta say Ronda Rousey.

"Ronda Rousey is the one fighter that no matter where I go and talk to people about the UFC and my fandom, she is the first thing that is brought up. She is a star. She is extraordinary."

Although we are unlikely to hear Ross commentate on any UFC fights, he could potentially do some interview work for the UFC.

He is loved within the wrestling community and WWE fans hear that he is doing work for the Zuffa owned company, they could easily switch their attention to the Octagon.
