Dan Henderson has been ribbing Daniel Cormier with fried chicken ahead of their clash this weekend at UFC 173.

Both Henderson and Cormier are going through their final preparations ahead of their eagerly-anticipated fight this weekend and both are making sure to be at optimal weight for the fight.

For Cormier, that means he needs to cut weight and during the gruelling procedure, he can't eat as much as he usually does - especially his favourite food, 'Popeye's Chicken'. So what does Henderson do?

He orders 48 pieces of chicken and delivers it to his opponent.

The two are friends, having both come from an Olympic wrestling background, so it's all good natured fun between the two.

Fellow UFC fighters, Heavyweight champion, Cain Velasquez and middleweight, Luke Rockhold were both on hand to witness the prank and join with the laughs.

Cormier will maintain his number one contender status to the Light Heavyweight title with a win (he'll fight the winner of Jon Jones-Alexander Gustafsson II) so it would've been all the more difficult to get through his training with that offer.

In the video, Henderson mentions how Cormier will 'eat as much Popeye's' as he can after the fight, whether it's in celebration or commiseration will become apparent this Saturday but for now he'll have to push it to the back of his mind just days before the fight.
