Henrik Larsson is highly wanted at Celtic Park and he might be on his way to become Celtics next Manger - something denied by the legend himself on the BBC
When it became clear that Neil Lennon is leaving his post as manager of Scottish club Celtic, great speculation began about his replacement and Henrik Larsson, 42, was immediately linked with the job.
But the current Falkenberg FF manager, who scored 174 goals in 221 league games during his seven seasons at Celtic, denied all such rumours immediately.
As a player, he won the Celtic Fans hearts and they definitely have not forgotten about him.
Also within the back room staff they have some good experience of Swedish leaders after Johan Mjallby's time with the Glasgow team.
Meanwhile, Larsson himself declared that he wants to stay in Falkenberg, but the question is whether he would think about that when there is a contract proposal in front of his nose.
The thing is that the relationship between Lennon and Celtic had become strained. He is not as popular as he was before.
Among fans, he is nowhere near the status of Larsson and the club's board has gotten tired of his eternal flirting with Premier League clubs.
Lennon looking for a job in the Premier League is not exactly a secret.
Meanwhile, Celtic's season ticket sales have not been as good as before. Therefore, it would not be surprising if they now offer Henke Larsson the job.
Larsson is saying the right things right now. That he does not want to break the contract with Falkenberg FF, but an offer from the club in his heart
Larsson is simply the best option for Celtic; it stems from that Henrik Larsson can afford to fail.
Not that he would fail, but he can afford to fail. Other Managers cannot afford to fail.
It's important that he also has several years experience of coaching jobs, it's a few years more than what Lennon had before he took over.
Today Larsson is the greatest living legend at Celtic, it does not matter if he is young or old. Everyone loves him.
