It's been an ever-present conundrum in human life for as long as man has been walking on two legs - what if you had the ability to effectively have a second chance?
Film boffs and cinema lovers will already know that in just a few days time the ins and outs of the whole debate will be thrust onto the big screen in the form of Tom Cruise's latest venture into Hollywood blockbusters; Edge of Tomorrow - due out on May 30.
In it Cruise plays a naive major who is tasked by the armies of the world to help defend earth against alien invaders. Cruise's character, Major William Cage, is killed within five minutes of assaulting the extra-terrestrial enemies, and then finds himself in a time loop which forces him to fight the same battle over and over again.
It got us thinking, and naturally our brains here at GiveMeSport turned to the world of sports and competition. How many famous sporting moments might have been different if the people involved had of, or maybe hadn't of, acted differently?
