Reports emanating out of Virginia have revealed that rookie running back Lorenzo Taliaferro was arrested and charged Saturday in Williamsburg.
According to The Virginia Gazette the 2014 draftee was charged with the destruction of property and being drunk in public after being seen smashing the window of a taxi by a police officer late Saturday morning.
The Ravens selected Taliaferro in the fourth round after recording 1,678 yards and 21 touchdowns as a senior at Coastal Carolina and it is hardly the ideal way for the rookie to make an impression on John Harbaugh and the rest of the Baltimore hierarchy.
The news comes after a much more high profile rookie, a certain Johnny Manziel, drew criticism from many for being seen enjoying himself in Las Vegas over Memorial Weekend - a trip that looks slightly less outrageous in the light of Taliaferro's actions.
The Baltimore Ravens are yet to comment on the situation, but a fine is likely with both charges misdemeanours in the eyes of the law.
The franchise will however take the issue seriously what with the recent issues of Taliaferro's fellow running back Ray Rice.
