Manchester United don't want to sign Atletico Madrid defender Miranda, according to The Daily Mail.
The 29-year-old, who played in Atletico's Champions League final defeat to Real Madrid last weekend, has also attracted interest from Barcelona in recent time.
Reports had indicated that Atletico Madrid were willing to let the defender depart the club this summer, however it appears that Manchester United aren't interested in the £24m rated man.
New Red Devils boss Louis van Gaal will be on the lookout for defensive reinforcements, however, after the departures of club captain Nemanja Vidic and Rio Ferdinand.
It remains to be seen as to whether Manchester United make a move for another centre-back in the near future, but it appears unlikely that Miranda will be arriving through the gates of Old Trafford.
Manchester United fans will certainly be hoping the club can make a number of signings this summer, as they look to progress in 2014/15.
