CM Punk and Michelle Beadle are no longer friends

Michelle Beadle has lifted the lid on her supposed spat with AJ Lee - something that occurred after the ESPN presenter had allegedly hurled abuse at CM Punk. The altercation happened back in December at Tribute to the Troops, and Beadle responded to reports via Twitter at the time.

The host of Sporstnation has, however, now spoken to legendary WWE commentator Jim Ross on his podcast Ross Report, during which she was able to detail the full sequence of events that resulted in the confrontation with AJ Lee.

As Beadle explains, this argument with Lee, the soon to be wife of CM Punk, has resulted in a breakdown of the relationship she had enjoyed with the latter, despite a friendship which lasted a number of years.

“[CM Punk] and I stopped being friends that day and I wish him the best of luck and that's it. It's a bummer because I always respected him,” Beadle told Ross, as kindly quoted by Cagesideseats.

“I thought he was one of those cool guys that kind of didn't fall into a certain role and kind of did what he wanted but to watch all that happen and to have somebody tattle on me and have their girlfriend get in my face is a little pathetic. But it's okay, I've moved on."

Punk and AJ Lee are set to get married sometime within the next month, with the former still on an explained absence from WWE. The longest reigning WWE champion of the modern era left the company following the Royal Rumble, and has not been on the roster since.

AJ Lee, meanwhile, has been afforded some time off by WWE after losing her Divas title to newcomer Paige - a belt she had longer than anyone else since its creation.
