Arsenal are considering a move for Argentina international Marcos Rojo - but they face competition from a clutch of Europe's richest clubs.
Monaco and Paris Saint Germain also want the 24-year-old defender, who has starred in Portugal for Sporting Lisbon this season but is looking to move on, according to the Daily Express.
Arsenal and Liverpool lead the Premier League suitors in the race for his signature, although the Gunners are thought to have the edge.
Sporting snapped him up for £3.5m from Spartak Moscow just two years ago, but the Daily Express report claims that he will fetch much more than that after his impressive performances in Portugal.
Equally comfortable at left-back or centre-back, Liverpool and Arsenal are both thought to be keen to add versatility to their respective defences ahead of a Champions League campaign next season.
Rojo was named in Argentina's 26-man provisional squad for the World Cup in Brazil next month, and he's hoping to play an important role as they look to win a first World Cup since 1986.
And he could be joining the likes of Pablo Zabaleta and Martin Demichelis in the Premier League next season if Arsenal get their way.
