The new issue of WWE Magazine is out and it contains a question and answer spot with Dean Ambrose. In the piece it seems that The Shield star has dropped a major hint about the stable's future. And it doesn't make good reading for fans of the group.

The 28-year old referred to his Shield stablemates as former partners.

One of the questions asked Ambrose if there was a WWE Superstar that could make him laugh. He replied:

"My former partners, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns. I was probably the class clown of the group so I'd usually start the joking and ribbing. But those two are hilarious. Daniel Bryan is funny too but more because he's funny looking."

We all sort of knew that The Shield would split eventually to launch singles careers but not quite so quickly. By the sounds of the interview it seems like it could happen as soon as after  the Payback Pay-Per-View this Sunday.

There are a lot of questions that remain unanswered. When do they split? Do any of the stars turn on their teammates and defect to Evolution?

I guess we'll all just have to find out.
