LeBron James makes history with new deal

LeBron James may not make the NBA Mount Rushmore but he has certainly found his place in history after his newest advertising deal. The Miami Heat star has become the first ever athlete to get his own Slurpee flavor.

Thanks to a new deal between LeBron, one of his current sponsors Sprite, and the chain-store 7-11, LBJ is set to break ground in the slushy industry. The store announced the partnership earlier today on Sprite's website:

"While summer’s heating up, you can be cooling down with a limited edition Sprite 6 Mix by LeBron James Slurpee, courtesy of your local 7-Eleven. That’s right, we’re putting your new favorite drink in chill mode. Starting May 28th, the Sprite 6 Mix by LeBron James Slurpee drops exclusively at your neighborhood 7-Eleven.

It combines the great taste of Sprite with natural orange and cherry flavors. This chilly goodness is available only for a limited time, so don’t miss out."

James already has his own unique drink range with Sprite themselves and is branching out in the refreshment market, where he goes up against LA Lakers' star Kobe Bryant who has his own drinks range, Kobe Inc.'s BodyArmour.
