Fiorentina ace Borja Valero is desperate for Juan Cuadrado to stay at the club this summer, amid links with Arsenal.

As reported by talkSPORT, Valero has insisted that Colombian star Cuadrado is "amazing" and must be kept in Serie A ahead of the 2014/15 campaign.

Arsenal, along with the likes of Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Co, have been linked with the player's signature in recent time, however it remains to be seen as to whether he will move on in the up coming transfer window.

Valero is certainly hoping the talented winger stays at Fiorentina, as he told Esports Cope: “Cuadrado is amazing. In the second half of last season he scored loads of goals for us.

“He’s so dominant in one-on-one situations and uses his pace to great effect.

"Not only that, but he's also a very versatile player. Last season we went towards a four in the midfield, but he can also be one of three up front.

"Juan's grown so much over these past two seasons. He's become a crucial part of our team."

Arsenal fans will be desperate for the club to add further quality to their side ahead of next season, as they go in search of a Premier League title challenge.

The Gunners failed to land the league title in the last campaign, but did manage to end their trophy drought after claiming the FA Cup.

And with the likes of Theo Walcott and Alex Oxlade Chamberlain having struggled for fitness in recent time, the signing of Cuadrado would certainly help the club fight for England's elite prize.
