GiveMeSport brings you the latest headlines from the world of US sport.
We begin in the NBA where the Indiana Pacers kept their playoff hopes alive last night with a 93-90 win over the Miami Heat.
Paul George led the Pacers, who now trail the series 3-2, with 37 points whilst it was a frustrating night for LeBron James. The four-time MVP managed just seven points after running into foul trouble.
Across to the NHL, and the Chicago Blackhawks too escaped playoff elimination thanks to a 5-4 win against the LA Kings.
A goal from veteran Michal Handzus in double overtime ensured the Blackhawks force a Game Six.
Meanwhile in baseball, the Toronto Blue Jays made in nine wins in a row Wednesday courtesy of a 3-2 win over the Tampa Bay Rays.
There were also wins for the Oakland A’s and San Francisco Giants who remain the only two teams with a better record than the Blue Jays at present.
