Manchester United are set to re-enter talks with Southampton over the potential signing of Luke Shaw today, according to BBC Sport.
The Red Devils have been linked with the highly rated teenager for some time now, and have already had a £27 million bid rejected by the Saints.
Shaw - who is set to star at this summer's World Cup - enjoyed a fine season for Mauricio Pochettino's former team last season.
And now it appears that, like Pochettino, Shaw will also be heading out of the St Mary's exit door in the near future. It remains to be seen, however, as to how much money Manchester United will have to part with in order to land the England international.
Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal will be hoping the club can secure the services of the 18-year-old before the start of the campaign as he targets long term success with the club.
If Shaw does arrive at the Theatre of Dreams, then he will have to battle Frenchman Patrice Evra for a starting place in the 2014/15 campaign.
Evra recently signed a new one-year deal at Manchester United, and will add vital experience to the Red Devils' back-line once again next season.
