Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu has dismissed speculation the Catalan club want to sign Arda Turan, who has also attracted interest from Manchester United and Liverpool.
The Daily Star reports how the Atletico Madrid midfielder has been heavily linked with the Premier League duo this summer, following an impressive season with Diego Simeone's side in 2013/14.
Turan played an instrumental role as Los Rojiblancos won La Liga title, and also made it all the way to the Champions League final where they were eventually beaten by local rivals Real Madrid in extra time in Lisbon.
New Red Devils boss Louis van Gaal has been credited with an interest in bringing the Turkey international to Old Trafford off the back of his sensational campaign at the Vicente Calderon Stadium.
Meanwhile, Brendan Rodgers is also mooted as an admirer of the 27-year-old as he too looks to strengthen his Anfield squad during the summer, ahead of Liverpool's return to Europe's elite club competition in 2014/15.
Simeone will be determined to keep Turan at Atletico Madrid beyond the summer, but Manchester United and Liverpool will both be boosted by the news that they won't face competition for his signature from Barcelona, after Sky Sports reported that Bartomeu intimated he is 'not to be observed' this transfer window.
