Manchester United have opened talks with FC Dnipro over Ukrainian international Yevhen Konoplyanka, according to The Mirror.
The winger, who is just 24-years-old, has gained many admirers in recent time, and now looks set for a move to the Premier League.
The likes of Liverpool have been credited with interest in the star in recent time, however it now appears that Manchester United are in the driving seat to land his signature.
This will come as a major blow for Brendan Rodgers, who had hoped to take him to Anfield this summer.
However, with Manchester United looking to rebuild their squad ahead of the 2014/15 campaign, it looks likely that the winger could become new boss' Louis van Gaal's first signing for the Old Trafford outfit.
Reports have suggested that Manchester United will have to pay Dnipro £12 million in order to land the player's signature.
It certainly looks set to be a busy summer for all involved at the red Devils, and Konoplyanka could be the first piece of Van Gaal's jigsaw.
