Luke Shaw can leave Southampton for £30 million this summer, according to The Express.

The Saints don't want to let the youngster, who is set to star in this summer's World Cup, go for anything less than £30m in the up-coming transfer window.

That means Manchester United are just £3m short of the asking price, having already tabled a bid worth £27m.

It appears that Manchester United are reluctant to up their offer for the teenage full-back, however they will have to do so in order to secure his signature.

Shaw is one of the leading young talents in English football, and has gained many admires in recent time.

Louis van Gaal will be hoping the club's officials can land the Saints star in the near future, as he targets success at Old Trafford.

If Manchester Unite can sign Shaw, then the youngster will go head-to-head with veteran Patrice Evra for the left-back position in the 2014/15 campaign.

Saints, meanwhile, will be looking to regroup with a number of high profile stars possibly leaving The St Mary's this summer.
