Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal wants to bring at least six players to the club this summer, according to The Daily Mail

The report has suggested that the Red Devils will hand their new manager an incredible £220 million warchest as he looks to turn the club's fortunes around in the 2014/15 campaign.

The Red Devils endured a nightmare campaign last season under David Moyes and then Ryan Giggs, and only managed to secure a seventh placed Premier League finish.

However, it appears the club want to quickly reclaim their place amongst Europe's elite, and will splash the cash in the up coming transfer window.

And a number of top stars appear to be on Van Gaal's shopping list. Midfield trio of Cesc Fabregas, Koke and William Carvalho have all been linked with a move to Manchester United.

Dutch duo Daley Blind and Jordy Clasie could also be targets for the new Red Devils boss, with reports suggesting that Van Gaal wants Borussia Dormund's Mats Hummels and Atletico Madrid ace Joao Miranda as his centre-half paring for next season.

It remains to be seen, however, as to how many of the targets he can bring to Manchester United ahead of next season, but it looks set to be all change at Old Trafford.

Manchester United fans will certainly be excited about what the future holds under the new management team.
