There was an unexpected added member to the England party that departed for the World Cup this afternoon.
Comedian Simon Brodkin - better known as Lee Nelson - attempted to get on the plane with the rest of the England squad as they left for Miami, where they will face Ecuador and Honduras, before they travel on to Brazil.
However his bold stunt was stopped by police at Luton airport as the England players looked on with smiles on their faces.
He was dressed in a similar suit to that of the real players and almost managed to pull off the hilarious act, disguised as character Jason Bent - a footballer depicted by Brodkin on Lee Nelson's Well Good Show.
It is not known how Brodkin managed to sneek in to the private terminal that the travelling party were using.
This isn't the first time he has tried a stunt like this as last season he managed to warm up with the Manchester City team before their clash with Everton at Goodison Park - an act that resulted in an appearance in court.
