As a semi-professional outfit, it is perhaps accurate to say that FC Tuscon don't often make national headlines. That all changed this weekend, however, thanks to what can only be described as a wondergoal from Odaine Sinclair.
In a deserved 2-0 victory over the BYU Cougars, Jamaican striker Sinclair opened the scoring with one of the best bicycle-kick goals we have seen for quite some time.
While you might accuse GMS of a slight overreaction here, the technical quality of this goal - which can be seen in the video above - is fully deserving of such high praise.
Following an opposition defender's somewhat botched attempt to clear the ball from his own 18-yard-box with a looping header, Sinclair - who at this stage was running away from goal - met the dropping ball with a supremely athletic effort that flew into the back of the net and led Tuscon coach Rick Schantz to excitedly dub it as the 'best goal I've ever seen in my life'.
Thanks to The Metro for drawing our attention to this particular goal and FC Tuscon Soccer's official youtube account for hosting the video.
Does this strike from Sinclair deserve to go down as one of the best goals of 2014? Be sure to let us know your thoughts in the comment box provided below.
