First we start in the MLS. Spanish goal machine David Villa has finalised his move to new MLS venture, New York City, with the deal understood to be to irresistible to turn down.

Across to the NHL, and LA Kings knocked out former Stanley Cup Champions the Chicago Blackhawks with a 5-4 victory last night, giving the Kings their second Western Conference title in three seasons.

In the NBA, San Antonio Spurs joined Miami Heat in the NBA Finals after there 112 to 107 victory over OKC Saturday night.

The Spurs and Heat will compete in the NBA Finals for the second straight season, and it all starts June 5th.

Elsewhere, the Donald Sterling saga continues with ex-LA Clippers owner now said to be filing a lawsuit against the NBA.

And finally in Major League Baseball, New York Yankees lost 7-2 at home to the Minnesota Twins Sunday night, while the Boston Red Sox continued their turnaround with a seventh straight victory, this time 4-0 over the Tampa Bay Rays.
