Seth Rollins turning heel is perfect move from WWE

Last night on Monday Night Raw, the WWE pulled of a bold move by having Seth Rollins turn on his Shield teammates and join Evolution, the same night Batista quit.

We already know Batista ‘quit’ so he can leave to promote his new film, Guardians of the Galaxy, but nobody expected Seth Rollins to join Evolution on the same night.

But the reaction I have read online and on social media is odd, the fans should actually be pleased that Rollins has turned heel, but instead the same fans who criticise the company for lacking the sense of unpredictability are criticising this decision, one of the best decisions made in a long time.

In fact, Seth Rollins turning heel is the most perfect thing that could have happened to The Shield, everyone expected Dean Ambrose to turn heel; especially after the WWE Magazine almost gave away the entire plans, but that would have been very predictable.

We were all bracing ourselves for Ambrose to turn heel sooner or later, he is a natural heel and he still will be, and we saw that when he looked at Rollins after he attacked Reigns. The tease was already dropped when Rollins walked out on Ambrose and Reigns, the WWE pulled the plug on a break-up months ago and continued to make them look stronger, and they’ve booked it to perfection.

Seth Rollins is referred to as the architect of the Shield, he is the glue of the group and has shown that just like he held the group together, he can break it just as easily. It’s clear that a new Evolution is being created, as we mentioned before a new member was rumoured with Triple H taking on the role Ric Flair played in the previous version of Evolution, Randy Orton playing the role Triple H played and now Seth Rollins taking on the role of the future star.

The ultimate goal for The Shield is to create three big stars, but the way things were going it seemed as if all the focus and attention was going into making Roman Reigns the big star. For those of us that want to see each individual member succeed; having Rollins join Evolution is the right decision. The company is creating stars for the future, we can’t continue to see the likes of John Cena stay on our screens for another decade or so, these guys are the ones to carry the company.

Let’s not forget that The Shield are mercenaries in the WWE, that’s how they arrived and they were hired from day one, first by Paul Heyman and now most recently by Triple H; so it won’t be too hard to explain why Seth Rollins joined them, money talks.

Fans need to get on board with this idea right now; The Shield have had a good run and the only way they can be huge is if they go their separate ways. Going further as singles superstars will help them capture World Championships, everyone should be excited that Rollins turned heel and is getting a push and isn’t taking a backseat.

I believe it’s a fantastic choice on Seth Rollins, he is the only one out of the three to win a World Championship back during his days as Tyler Black in Ring of Honor.
