On a day when the US men's national team faced Turkey in a World Cup match, their fallen hero Landon Donovan was getting heckled.
The Los Angeles Galaxy striker is the country's leading all-time top goal scorer, but he was left out of the US squad for Brazil despite that experience.
This meant that he was in Chicago rather than preparing for the World Cup.
Naturally, his Galaxy were playing the Chicago Fire on the road, but you can't imagine Donovan thought he was going to get abuse like this from his own nation.
But, as the video on this link shows, the Fire fans completely disregarded their once golden boy and had away with him while he took a corner kick.
US head coach Jurgen Klinsmann left out the 32-year-old because he didn't feel he would be the type of player that could warm the bench if needed.
Instead, Sunderland player Jozy Altidore and Chris Wondolowksi of San Jose Earthquake's have been included, with Bayern Munich star Julian Green also making the 23-man squad.
Tough luck Donovan.
