GiveMeSport takes a look at the biggest stories in US Sport today.

We begin in the NBA where, ahead of the 2014 NBA Finals between the Miami Heat and San Antonio Spurs Thursday, LeBron James was dealt a blow.

The Heat star was left out of the NBA’s All-Defensive first team for the first time since 2008, having to settle for second-team honors instead.

Meanwhile Stanley Cup fever is gripping the NHL as the New York Rangers prepare to face the Los Angeles Kings in Game One Wednesday night.

The Rangers are looking for their first title in 20 years, while it is the Kings second appearance in the Finals in the past three seasons.

The big news in the NFL concerns one of the all-time greats; former Miami Dolphins quarterback Dan Marino.

The Hall-of-Famer is suing the NFL alongside 14 other former pros in a lawsuit concerning the league’s failure to highlight concussion issues.

And finally over in baseball the Boston Red Sox tasted defeat for the first time in eight games after going down 3-2 to the Cleveland Indians.
