Mark Schwarzer has revealed that he's ready to sign a new deal with Chelsea after positive messages from Jose Mourinho.
Sky Sports have reported that the ageing shot-stopper is keen to stay at Stamford Bridge for another season.
Schwarzer, who is 41-years-old, had limited opportunities under Mourinho last season, but now looks set to stay on at the club.
Speaking in Sydney, the goalkeeper said: "I've had messages from the boss, he's very keen for me to re-sign with the club.
"And that's all I really need to know, that he wants to keep me at the club and I'll leave the rest up to the powers-that-be to sort it all out.
"I'm confident it'll be sorted out in the next week or two."
Schwarzer will be hoping to play his part in a successful campaign for Chelsea in the 2104/15 campaign after the club failed to win a trophy last term.
The Blues only managed to secure a third placed Premier League finish last season, and will be desperate to land England's elite prize next time out.
It remains to be seen, however, as to how many chances Schwarzer will be handed at the club next season, with the 'keeper expected to battle Petr Cech for the club's No.1 jersey yet again.
On loan Atletico Madrid star Thibaut Courtois could also return to Chelsea ahead of next season, to further add competition in the goalkeeping department.
