Romelu Lukaku made Valencia priority target

La Liga outfit Valencia have made Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku a priority transfer target, according to Valencian newspaper Superdeporte.

The Blues forward, who spent this past season on loan at Everton, has gained many admirers in recent time after excelling on Merseyside. The likes of Tottenham have been credited with interest in the striker, who has been rated at £25 million.

However, it now appears that Spanish outfit Valencia are ready to make a move for him in the near future. The Spanish outfit are seemingly desperate to improve in attack, with reports also suggesting that the club could swoop for hot shot Jackson Martínez this summer.

Blues fans, however, will be hoping Lukaku stays on at the Bridge and is handed an opportunity under Jose Mourinho next term. Many expect Chelsea to sign Spanish international Diego Costa this summer, so Lukaku would have to battle the forward for a place in the starting XI if he stays.

If the Chelsea ace does join Valencia, however, then the club will be hoping that he can help them climb the Spanish table next term.
