Crystal Palace are threatening to upset any plans Hull City has made with Jake Livermore, reports the Daily Mail. Livermore impressed on loan from Tottenham last season and Hull want to make the deal permanent, but Palace could offer a return to London
This is a potentially tantalising offer for Livermore who wouldn’t have to move from his home in the capital. However, Hull are hoping that his time with them will prevail in the end and be the catalyst to make him stay.
Although Palace showing a late interest Livermore himself has expressed his desire to stay at Hull when he said: “Of course I’d like to stay. I feel as though I owe the manager, his staff, my team-mates and the fans a lot.”
“They’ve been good to me this season and I’ve been given the opportunity to play week in and week out. For that I’m thankful.”
However, the fact that Hull has admitted to having trouble agreeing with Spurs on a deal could mean that Palace could sweep in and secure the midfielder.
Despite this it is no secret that new manager Mauricio Pochettino, who recently replaced Tim Sherwood at White Hart Lane, is happy to let him go this summer.
