Smackdown is recorded just twenty-four hours after Raw and after this week's episode of the longest running show, many fans were tuned into the spoilers to find out how Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose would react to Seth Rollins's betrayal of The Shield.

Seth himself did appear on Smackdown and cut a promo and addressed the audience, still in his recognisable swat gear that The Shield became famous for and apparently he acted rather cocky but hesitant while accompanied by Triple H to the ring.

He then had a match against Dolph Ziggler after he interrupted and called Seth a sell-out and many have said this was a very solid back and forth match between the pair. As well as this The Big Show called Seth a sell-out backstage and was put into a match with Randy Orton later in the night and Seth stopped the match when he attacked the Big Show thus completing the heel turn many were hoping wouldn't happen.

Roman and Dean were nowhere to be seen on the television recordings of the show, presumably selling the abuse Seth inflicted on them the night before. As soon as the camera's finished rolling for last night's show, which will be broadcast on Friday Dean and Roman made their presence known and headed to the ring as a duo before celebrating their win at the top of the ramp with the "symbol of excellence" as just the two of them.

This contradicts many reports stating The Shield were now officially over because Seth was the glue of the group and Roman and Dean's ego's wouldn't survive without Seth to talk sense to them. The new theory is that there could be a new member of the group that could turn it back into a trio, or they could remain as a tag team. Either way they have to settle the grudges and bad blood between themselves and Seth Rollins before they can move onto a new feud or find a new member.

Rollins is still yet to confirm why he left the group and what Triple H has given to him as a reward but you would imagine the real fireworks will be happening next week on Raw when the trio are all back in the same place and hopefully the long awaited feud between Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins will be the good thing to come out of a bad situation for the group.
