Tottenham plan to make an offer for Sevilla left-back Alberto Moreno, reports the Daily Mail.
The north London club will be joining other Premier League sides Liverpool and Chelsea in the running to sign the Spaniard.
Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino has made signing a left-back one of his main priorities since joining the club, and it looks likely that his £14 million offer could seal the deal.
Ever since the Argentinians arrival at the club many have been left wondering which players will join him at White Hart Lane, and Moreno may well be the first to do so.
Despite the interest of Liverpool, a move to Spurs could be more likely for the left-back after striker Roberto Soldado has been offered on loan to Sevilla as part of the deal, while Etienne Capoue may also be included.
By offering them the striker who has struggled to adapt into Tottenham’s first team could give them the lead against Liverpool who up until now have been the frontrunners.
Even though Moreno won’t be representing Spain at the World Cup after being cut from the provisional 30-man squad, it certainly hasn’t scared anyone away from him.
