Erik Lamela is being sought after by a number of clubs, particularly in Italy, but Tottenham are showing no signs of letting him go.

Inter Milan, Florentina and Napoli are all said, as reported by the Daily Star, to want to bid for the Argentinian winger but further claims insist that Spurs has no plans on selling the 22-year-old.

After splashing out a grand total of £25 million on the player last summer it would be fair to say that he Lamela has not bee able to live up to expectation in a Spurs shirt so far.

He had been plagued with injury throughout the season, which saw him only make 15 appearances for the club, while he spent plenty of time on the bench under both Andre Villas-Boas and Tim Sherwood.

Spurs will surely be reluctant to sell a player in which they invested so much cash, but with the arrival of Mauricio Pochettino as the club's latest manager there is no certainty the player will stay at White Hart Lane.

Tottenham fans will be desperate to say Lamela really make his mark next season, and perhaps Pochettino will be the man to get the youngster playing to his potential.
