Floyd Mayweather vs Amir Khan will never happen, say boxing fans

Published Add your comment

Floyd Mayweather wants to fight Amir Khan across the pond in the UK according to reports, but boxing fans don't buy this and believe it will never happen.

That's at least according to this poll. Given the option to select whether or not the fight would happen in their eyes, they could choose very unlikely, unlikely but could happen, probable or very probable, with the highest choice being the 46.4% of fans that choose very unlikely.

These figures just show the lack of faith that boxing fans have in Mayweather despite his popularity.

Mayweather is the pound for pound king, but he's also the man with the biggest draw in terms of box office pulling power.

But this still doesn't have the majority of these 2,880 boxing fans thinking a fight with Khan could actually happen, despite Mayweather claiming this week that he might be interested.

We'll have to wait and see for now, but boxing fans are certainly pessimistic for sure.
