LeBron James and Tim Duncan find themselves in familiar territory tonight as they prepare to take the court in the 2014 NBA Finals.
Tonight's Game One match up between the Miami Heat and San Antonio Spurs will be Duncan's sixth time in the Finals, whilst LeBron is appearing for the fifth time.
Back in 2007 though James was far less experienced when it came to the season-defining series as he led the Cleveland Cavaliers against Duncan's Spurs in what was his debut Finals appearance.
James and the Cavs came out on the losing side that time around with the Spurs sweeping the series 4-0.
This video however shows just how much respect the veteran Duncan had for James after all was said and done:
"Great job buddy," said Duncan after winning his fourth NBA title.
"I love how you are out there...stay that way.
"This is going to be your league in a little while...but I appreciated you giving it to us this time."
Wise words indeed from one of the most experienced men in the game and with James going on to win two NBA titles and in search of a third in succession over the next couple of weeks it looks like the now Heat star took those words on board.
