Barcelona star Francesc Fabregas has reportedly decided that he wants to join Chelsea this summer despite a tempting offer from Manchester United, with a deal expected to go through today.

And now, to rub salt further into the wounds of Red Devils fans it’s been revealed just why the Spaniard opted for Stamford Bridge ahead of any other suitors. Three reasons are cited in today’s edition of the Daily Express, with the primary one being the criticism from fans at the Nou Camp who would regularly boo him and slate his performances. A genuine lack of game-time in Catalonia and the fact that he still has a large home in London from his time with Arsenal are said to be the other deciding factors.

Elsewhere Mourinho has been made aware that he could sign Sandro for as little as £15million, as Tottenham appear to have placed a price-tag on the head of their Brazilian midfielder.
