Sporting Lisbon midfielder William Carvalho is an Arsenal fan and loved watching former Gunners striker Thierry Henry, according to The Guardian.
Carvalho, who is just 22-years-old, has had a fine season in Portugal, and has been the subject of interest from Premier League outfit Manchester United in recent time.
Reports have suggested that Manchester United have been keeping close tabs on the highly rated midfielder ahead of the transfer window.
The Red Devils are certainly in need of midfield reinforcements, after the club endured a nightmare campaign under David Moyes last term.
It remains to be seen, however, as to whether United step up their interest in the Portuguese star who has been rated at €45 million.
Manchester United's Premier League rivals Arsenal haven't been linked with the midfielder, however, despite the player being a fan of the club.
The Gunners, much like Manchester United, could add to their squad this summer, as they look to mount a Premier League title challenge next term.
Both Manchester United and Arsenal will be hoping to compete for England's elite prize, and Carvalho could still play his part in the race next season if he's picked up by the Red Devils.
