WWE already has John Cena's next feud lined up

John Cena, fresh from his recent feud with Bray Wyatt, could be set to help another newcomer to the organization establish himself as a star of the future.

According to The Wrestling Observer WWE bosses have openly discussed the idea of setting up a feud between John Cena and Rusev - the Russian heel character who has recently found success in NXT.

As one of the biggest stars in the WWE stable for well over a decade, the WWE clearly feels that they can use the stature and respectability of Cena in order to bring through the future generation of WWE superstars.

Juding by the success of the Wyatt-Cena feuds which began back at WrestleMania XXX and have spanned three high profile fights they feel that it is a formula that could be repeated by Rusev.

With the latter being set up as a heel for fans to hate, putting him up against the beloved Cena will give WWE enthusiasts a reason to hate Rusev and help his character thrive as he looks to make the step up from NXT to WWE.

Bleacher Report suggests that a potential match up between the veteran and the new guy could take place at SummerSlam, with the preceding months before the August event used to built up the feud.

With the Cena-Wyatt rivalry having seemingly served it's purpose, this is by no means a bad idea for Cena either with the WWE slowly looking to push him toward a position of mentor for future stars.
