The agent of Atletico Madrid midfielder Arda Turan has denied that transfer talks have been held with clubs from the Premier League.
The Turkish ace has long been linked with a move to England, while Barcelona are also said to be keen on securing his services. Indeed, reports emerged from Turkey over the weekend claiming that the Catalan club had met his €41 million release clause.
If that does prove to be the case then the likes of Manchester United, Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester City need to act quickly in order to avoid missing out on their man - however his agent Ahmet Bulut insists there has been no talks held with English clubs.
He told Turkish sports channel NTVSpor: "There are several reports in the press saying we've made contact with English clubs but these are not true."
Liverpool have been quick off the mark ahead of this summer's transfer window and have already sealed deals for Rickie Lambert and Emre Can. They are also looking to lure Sevilla full-back Alberto Moreno to Anfield, while Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is also keen on Southampton's Adam Lallana and Bayern Munich's Xherdan Shaqiri.
Manchester United meanwhile are also looking to be active in the market but have so far failed to land any of their targets. The Red Devils' swoop to take Luke Shaw to Old Trafford is not yet complete while a host of Bayern Munich players could be on their way to the north west because of their connection with new Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal.
Any potential move for Turan looks destined to end in failure however as Barcelona go about revamping their squad following Tata Martino's departure.
