Chelsea defender Ashley Cole is no longer wanted by French moneybags Monaco, reports talkSPORT.
Citing French publication Mercato365, Monaco's new manager Leonardo Jardim has turned down the opportunity to sign the former England left-back.
It was expected that the Ligue 1 outfit would complete a deal to land the 33-year-old this summer, however it now appears that he won't be heading to the club.
Cole, however, could still leave Chelsea this summer, as he's yet to be offered a new contract at Stamford Bridge.
The left-back will be out of contract at the club at the end of this month, but it remains to be seen as to where he will be playing his football next season.
If Cole does depart the Bridge, then Chelsea fans will have fond memories of the veteran who has enjoyed a fine stint at the club.
Going forward, Chelsea will be targeting success in the 2014/15 season, as they look to mount a Premier League title challenge.
It's expected to be a busy summer at the club, with Blues boss Mourinho expected to add further quality to his side.
