Game 1 of the NBA Finals came down to Tim Duncan and his dominance of the paint.
Game 2 was a direct display of LeBron James’ greatness.
So what can we NBA fans expect from Game 3?
Another great game no doubt. Many fans expected this series to go all the way to Game 7 and it appears we may just get that wish. We have all heard about LeBron’s fourth quarter cramps in the series opener and James answered the call whole heartedly in Act II.
Both teams in the Spurs and the Heat have a deep rotation but lets not kid ourselves here, it comes down to who plays better; Tim Duncan of San Antonio or “LBJ” of Miami.
I don’t want to necessarily make it seem that the supporting cast doesn’t matter though.
A consistent effort from Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh will always help James and the same goes for Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili for Duncan.
This Finals rematch has been a thing of beauty so far and the storylines throughout are endless it seems.
LeBron exploits the perimeter defense of the Spurs who heavily rely on Kawai Leonard to defend the four-time MVP.
As for “Timmy D” he overpowers the weaker interior defense of the Heat and their “small-ball” approach.
Then you have two great coaches in Gregg Popovich and Erik Spoelstra who will both continue to battle to enforce their gameplan over the next few crucial games.
Now we get to turn our attention to Game 3. Enjoy it basketball fans because this series is just getting started.
