The World Cup is so close you can almost taste it, and the greatest footballing nations on the planet are descending on South America for yet another heart helping of thrills, spills and undoubted surprised.

There's the reason the coming together of the best national sides in the world is generally regarded as the greatest sporting event around, and a large chunk of that is down to the unpredictability of it all. Passion runs wild, heroes are born, villans are made and dreams are shattered - there really isn't anything else which comes close to what Brazil 2014 can promise.
