WWE: Is Ronda Rousey The Shield's newest star

Ronda Rousey is one of the most famous faces in UFC itself these days, never mind just in the female division. The 27-year old is well known across the globe and appears on multiple tv shows and is an actress. She is also a massive WWE fan that spoke with Roman Reigns on Twitter about how much she would love to join The Shield.

The women's bantamweight champion has spoken time and again about her love of wrestling and the sports entertainment industry. And if the company gets their way, then she may just step into the square circle in the near future.

WWE has been trying to get Rousey to appear at their Summerslam pay-per-view for a while now, but is it possible that the unbeaten martial artist becomes the third member of The Shield?

Well if it was up to current Shield superstar Roman Reigns, Rousey would be their new teammate straight away with the two light heartedly talking about how great it would be to get her on board on Twitter.

It all started off with wrestling writer and podcaster Bret Cimenello suggesting Rousey as the newest member of the group and Reigns was all for it replying, “@RondaRousey well hell lets get a vest on u and start tearing the world apart! #BreakEveryRuleInTheBook”

Rousey - in complete fan girl mode - managed to muster a reply, which read “How did I not see this till right now!? #thisisawesome”, following it up with the brilliant “Btw I fan-girled out on that @WWERomanReigns tweet so bad I screwed up like 5 times lol”

Whilst the move remains rather unlikely, it would be great to see Rousey coming down from the crowd with Reigns and Dean Ambrose then putting foes in arm bars for the submission.
