Tom Ince to Inter Milan

Given the names of the players and teams on this list, Tom Ince finds himself in some pretty good company.

But if he leaves England behind and goes to test himself in a foreign country, then he becomes one of a very small group to have done so. That has to be a negative for the national team.

Historically, it's rare that 'home' players leave the Premier League (or Football League) to play abroad. Compare that with the number of foreign players currently playing on these shores.

For Ince specifically, Inter Milan is a big club and it would be a huge opportunity to compete against the best in Serie 'A'.

More significantly, it may encourage other young players to consider following in his footsteps for the long-term benefit of the country.
