Rio Ferdinand will become QPRs highest earner if he joins the club, according to ESPN.

After his departure from Manchester United, Ferdinand announced that he was moving his family back to London, which suggests it will be unlikely that he signs for a team outside the capital. His brother Anton now plays his football in Turkey after he was released by the club last summer.

A move to QPR would once again mean that Ferdinand will link up with Harry Redknapp, with whom Rio made his debut. The former England captain however may choose to decide his future in July after he has working for the BBCs World Cup team in Brazil.

Elsewhere at QPR Sky Sports are reporting that Rob Green, Alejandro Faurlin and Clint Hill have all been offered new deals. At the previous World Cup Rob Green was England number One but only played one match in the tournament after a mistake in the first match against the USA which ultimately cost England the win.

All three were with the club when they were last in the Premier League and were part of the side that were promoted via the Play offs last season.
