United States best scoring options at the World Cup (1)

The United States have to go battle against one of the hardest groups in living World Cup history when they travel down to Brazil for their Group of Death matches against Germany, Portugal and Ghana this month.

The USMNT will have to perform incredibly well at both ends of the pitch to have a chance of getting through and to the round of 16. It's not out of the realms of possibility however as anything can happen in tournament and the Stars and Stripes have the same chance as Portugal and Ghana in claiming one of the other spots behind a Germany that should come out on top of.

While the defense hasn’t had much time together in which to really gel as a unit, it’s the offense that we will be taking a special look at today, on the eve of the greatest tournament in sport. With Landon Donovan left out of the squad, others will need to step up in his place and put their stamp on the tournament.

So here’s a rundown of where the US are most likely to get their goals as well as the players that will be hopefully getting their names on the scoreboard as much as possible…
