UFC Light-Heavyweight's Patrick Cummins and Kyle Kingsbury are set to clash at UFC On Fox 12 in what could be a clash that see's the loser leave the company.
'Ultimate Fighter 8' contestant Kingsbury has not been seen inside the Octagon since September 2012 when he lost to Jimi Manuwa. After the second round, the doctor was forced to stop the contest after he broke his orbital bone. Prior to that, 'Kingsbu' was defeated by Glover Teixeira and Stephan Bonnar and must win against Cummins if he is to remain amongst the UFC ranks.
As for Cummins, he recently defeated Roger Narvaez at UFC Fight Night 42.
However, he was brought into the UFC on late notice, replacing an injured Rashad Evans to fight Daniel Cormier. It adds go the question if he is really wanted by the Zuffa based company and if he drops to 1-2 with a victory over a relatively unknown opponent adds to the pressure.
UFC On Fox 12 will take place on July 26th in San Jose, California. The card will be headlined by a number one contenders bout for the UFC Welterweight Title between Robbie Lawler and Matt Brown.
