Everton could have found the perfect replacement for former on loan winger Gerard Deulofeu in the form of Christian Tello, according to the Daily Express.
Despite interest from Champions League clubs Liverpool, Arsenal and Porto the winger is keen on a move to Everton after his predecessor's successful loan spell could mean much more game time at Barcelona.
Tello is struggling to break into the first team at the Nou Camp and is becoming frustrated with the lack of opportunities.
The midfielder had stated that he would move away from the club if then manager Gerardo Martino continued to be in charge, but he has been replace by Luis Enrique.
Barcelona would also prefer a move to the Toffees, having been impressed with Roberto Martinez and how he has changed the fortunes of Deulofeu.
Whilst Everton is the favoured destination amongst English clubs, the player has struck up a good relationship with the new Porto manager, Julen Lopetegui, with whom he knows from the Spanish under 21 side.
Once again it seems that Everton are to use the loan system to their advantage and Roberto Martinez Spanish links to progress up the league next season.
