Tonight marks the final episode of TNA’s Impact Wrestling ahead of the Slammiversary pay-per-view, which takes place on Sunday 15th June.

For MVP, tonight will offer him the opportunity to put the final touches on his World Heavyweight title bid. After revealing himself as the number one contender last month, he has had plenty of time to make sure everything is in place for him to capture the gold.

After recruiting Bobby Lashley and Kenny King as his associates, MVP has been wreaking havoc throughout the TNA roster – suspending Bobby Roode and attacking the likes of Eric Young, Austin Aries and The Wolves. On Thursday, all eyes will be on MVP and co to see if they are able to successfully chase down the defending World Champion EY for one final beat-down.

UK viewers can watch Impact this Sunday on Challenge TV, while Slammiversary will be shown the following Wednesday – the 13th June – at 10pm.

Elsewhere, expect more build-up for all the other Slammiversary matches. TNA recently announced that both Lashley and King will be in action during the pay-per-view – against Samoa Joe and Aries respectively. Those two matches should both be covered during tonight’s main storyline.

What does remain to be seen is where Dixie Carter’s loyalties now lie. Carter was clearly unimpressed by MVP’s attack on her nephew, Ethan Carter III, last week. EC3 was split open by Bully Ray during a four on four first blood match last week, a result which did not go down well with MVP and his cohorts – who had been tagging with Carter.

EC3 reportedly has his own revenge planned for Bully, ahead of their Slammiversary match-up. With Carter promising a ‘shocking expose’ that will reveal “the person he really is”.
Other recently announced matches for Slammiversary include James Storm against Mr. Anderson, Magnus against Willow and, earlier today, a six-way ladder match for the X-Division Championship between Manik, Tigre Uno, Crazzy Steve, Eddie Edwards, Davey Richards and defending champion Sanada.

The main question will be regarding the fitness of Willow, who suffered a merciless beat-down at the hands of Magnus and Bram last week. With The Wolves announced for a potential X Division title match, it remains to be seen whether they will also defend their Tag Team titles on the same night.

TNA’s Knockouts will also be in action tonight, with Gail Kim, Maddison Rayne and Brittany battling for a huge prize – the chance to face Angelina Love for the Knockouts title at Slammiversary. With the recent confusion surrounding the relationship of Rayne and Brittany, will either of them be able to cope with one of the greatest female wrestlers ever?

Finally, The Menagerie will be back – with their leader Knux taking on Robbie E of the Bro Mans. Last week, Robbie admitted to his fear of clowns, and screamed with terror as he, Jesse and DJ Z were confronted by Knux, Crazzy Steve, The Freak and Rebel. Will Robbie be able to keep his concentration tonight with Steve at ringside?
All this and much more on tonight’s episode of Impact Wrestling!
