WWE have released a statement today stating that they have come to terms with the releases of six of their main superstars.

1. Brodus Clay

The former funkasaurus was part of "Tons of Funk" with Tensai earlier this year and then went onto feud with Tensai, R-Truth and Xavier Woods before the Funkadactyls jumped ship to R-Truth and Woods tag team and Brodus Clay wasn't seen again on TV.

2. Evan Bourne

The ultimate high flyer hasn't been seen on WWE Tv since he and Kofi Kingston lost their tag team championships to Primo and Epico back in January 2012.

Air Bourne was then not seen for over a year after he was suspended for violating the wellness program and was injured in a car crash in March. Over a year later back in 2013 Bourne made an appearance on NXT where he defeated Rami Sebei, this sparked rumours that Bourne would be making his main roster return soon and superstars like Rey Mysterio commented on how exciting his return would be.

Sadly this wasn't the case as he was released from his WWE contract today and early rumours surrounding him suggest he could be heading to ROH.

3. Teddy Long

Theodore Long, the former General Manager of Smackdown is another one who hasn't been seen on WWE TV for a long time. He is best know for his whole "tag team" gimmick where anyone feuding with each other would be put in a tag team main event match.

It is thought that he has been doing work with WWE behind the scenes over the last few years but today he along with four others was released from his WWE contract.

4. Yoshi Tatsu

Yoshi has been a part of WWE for almost five years after coming over from JPW, but he has never really been a main event star, he was the kind of wrestler who would have flourished with the Cruiserweight Title but sadly that was retired a few years ago.

Since his WWE career slowed down Tatsu has been making regular appearances on NXT most notably when he was part of the number one contenders battle royal for the NXT world title which was eventually a draw between Tyson Kidd, Tyler Breeze and Sami Zayn.

5. Camacho

The former enforcer for Hunico has been dropped back down to NXT as of late where he looked to be finding his barings as a solo wrestler because Hunico began to portray Sin Cara again. Camacho was most recently in a feud with WWE newbie Adam Rose but this wasn't enough to keep him on WWE's books either.

6. Curt Hawkins

Once part of the formidable pairing of Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins, the latter hasn't been seen for a good few months whilst his former partner has been put into squash matches with Rusev. Hawkins lately has made appearances on NXT but it seems that wasn't enough to pre-long his contract as he was the last one on the list.
