Atletico Madrid continue to play hardball with Chelsea over their various transfer negotiations - and the Blues have responded in kind by refusing to let either Thibaut Courtois or Romelu Lukaku join the Spanish side as part of a swap deal for either Filipe Luis or Diego Costa.

Chelsea could be about to swoop for three players to feature for Atletico Madrid in their Champions League final defeat against Real Madrid - Costa, Luis and Tiago. Courtois also featured in that game but is expected to return from his three-year loan spell in Madrid after the World Cup.

All three deals were expected to have been completed some time ago but according to Marca, Atletico are refusing to accept a penny less than Costa's release fee of £32 million or Luis's fee of £25 million. Tiago, who is a free agent this summer, is free to join Chelsea if an agreement is reached.

That approach has prompted Chelsea to refuse any attempts made by Atletico to include Lukaku as part of the deal, while any suggestion of Courtois staying in Spain permanently have also been dismissed.
